›What is AfrikaFinds?
AfrikaFinds is a free online classifieds marketplace for Southern Africa. You can buy, sell, hire and advertise across categories like cars, electronics, property, jobs and services.
›Is it free to post a listing?
Yes. Standard listings are free. We may offer optional paid upgrades like featured placement or boosts in the future.
›Do I need an account to browse?
No. You can browse and search without signing up. You only need an account when you want to post a listing or manage your own ads.
›How do I post a listing?
Click Post ad at the top of the page (or visit Post a listing), pick a category, fill in details, add photos and publish. The whole flow takes a couple of minutes.
›How do I edit or delete my listing?
Go to My listings in your account. Each listing has Edit and Delete buttons. You can also mark a listing as Sold to keep it visible with a sold tag.
›How do buyers contact me?
Buyers see the contact details you choose to publish — typically WhatsApp, and optionally a phone number and email. AfrikaFinds doesn't run an internal messaging system; conversations happen directly between you and the buyer.
›Does AfrikaFinds handle payments?
No. We're a venue connecting buyers and sellers. Payment, delivery and any agreement on price happen directly between you and the other party. We strongly recommend the steps in our Safety Tips page.
›What countries and currencies are supported?
We support the Southern African region: South Africa (ZAR), Botswana (BWP), Namibia (NAD), Lesotho (LSL), Eswatini (SZL), Zimbabwe (USD), Zambia (ZMW), Malawi (MWK), Mozambique (MZN) and Angola (AOA). Each country has its own cities and suburbs.
›Can I use the site in Portuguese?
Yes. Use the language switcher in the header to choose between English and Português. We default to Portuguese for visitors from Angola and Mozambique on first visit.
›How does the age verification work?
Some categories — including Personals — are restricted to users 18 years and older. The first time you open one of these sections you'll be asked to confirm your age. The confirmation lasts a short window so you don't get prompted on every page.
›What's the Personals section, and what's not allowed there?
Personals is for adults seeking companionship, friendship or dating. It's not a venue for sexual services, escorting or explicit content. Listings violating these rules are removed and the accounts may be banned.
›How do I report a suspicious listing or user?
Use the report link on any listing, or email support@starlightgroupsa.co.za with the listing URL and a short description of the issue.
›How long do listings stay up?
Active listings remain visible until they expire or you remove them. We send reminders before expiry so you can reactivate.
›How do I delete my account?
Email us at privacy@starlightgroupsa.co.za and we'll remove your account and personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
